Will FBI: Most Wanted Return for Season 7? Here’s the Latest Update
For fans hoping to see the Fugitive Task Force return for another season, the news is unfortunately disappointing: there will not be a Season 7 of FBI: Most Wanted. CBS officially canceled the series in March 2025, and it concluded with its sixth and final season.
The decision came as a surprise to many viewers, especially since FBI: Most Wanted had been a reliable performer for CBS since premiering in 2020. Starring Dylan McDermott as Supervisory Special Agent Remy Scott, the series followed the FBI’s Fugitive Task Force as they tracked down some of the country’s most dangerous criminals.
According to CBS executives, the cancellation was primarily a business decision. The network explained that it needed to be “fiscally responsible” while reshaping its primetime lineup, leading to the cancellation of both FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International.
The original FBI series, however, remains very much alive. CBS had already renewed the flagship drama through Season 9, and the network has expanded the franchise with the new spinoff CIA, which now joins FBI as part of its Monday-night lineup.
Many fans hoped another network or streaming service might rescue FBI: Most Wanted, but as of now, no revival or Season 7 has been announced. The Season 6 finale therefore serves as the series finale.
